It is located in Alcanede, relatively close to Santarém, all the reason for being of this site, I speak of the company Valsabor that has as object of work the slaughter and transformation of meat, having started its activity in the year 1989. Since that year it has gone through some phases of change, both in its physical and leadership structure.

Thus, it is important to note that it was acquired by the current Manager, Mr. Fernando Vicente in August 2002 at a time when it was not financially well and even in its structure.

As for numbers, the entity has a Share Capital of 4,000,000 and with the support of about 100 employees to satisfy the market requests with the quality and deadlines requested. Regarding sales, the value in 2010 was about 40,000,000.

It is important to note that we have two culling lines, one for pigs and one for sheep/Chattors. Of these, the pigs have to have great prominence because we are talking about an innovative Abate line recently acquired by the company's cadres and that is distinguished from others by the quality of the final product (Swine/Falle) and for its speed, we are talking about a slaughter of 300 pigs per hour, thus leading to the highlight being of the first to be deployed in the Portuguese Slaughterhouses.

This line allows us to reach unexplored markets because the speed in the slaughter process, the hygiene conditions, the reduction of the stress of animals to the zero level and the extreme perfection of the final product are evident, in this way we are prepared to serve more and more customers from North to South of the country and beyond borders, both in fresh products and in transformed.

It should also be noted that the company Valsabor has made every effort to be at the level of the best competitors so that with this who can benefit the consumers, they do deserve this competitiveness, because this certainty that brings them benefits since in a market as competitive as that of meat earns who is better, who offers quality.
